Committees
Membership
The Membership Committee is responsible for increasing membership, keeping records of members and prospective members, and nurturing positive relationships among chapter members.
Finance
The Finance Committee is responsible for supervision of the chapter’s financial affairs. The Treasurer and President (Co-Presidents) are ex officio members. Committee members are appointed and approved by the membership.
Excellence in Education
The Excellence in Education Committee is responsible for informing members of current educational issues, topics and trends. The committee promotes programs related to education and personal growth of women educators which focus upon the Purposes and the Mission Statement of the Society.
Grants & Awards
The Grants and Awards Committee is responsible for the awarding of chapter grants and awards as voted on by the membership. The committee is responsible for the nomination, selection of recipients, execution and completion of all awards and grants.
Music
The Music Committee is responsible for providing the music, as needed, at chapter meetings and activities.
Communications & Marketing
The Communications and Marketing Committee is responsible for maintaining strong lines of communication within DKG. The committee works cooperatively with other committees and encourages members’ commitment to the Society. The committee keeps the membership informed of all events, functions, projects and activities at all levels, utilizes technology as a communication tool and supports the efforts of members to communicate with one another and to publicize the Society’s aims, purposes activities and accomplishments.
Phi members attend the luncheon and auction held by the Gamma Eta Chapter in Cheboygan.
